Today I'm bringing out 2 of the Best 1/18th scale Buggies and putting them up agents each other in different terranes. 2 completely different cars with 2 different drivetrains with the same power systems in both.
ARRMA Typhoon Grom has 4 wheel drive with 2 differentials and a beefy chassis.
Losi Mini-B is RWD with single differential and a lightweight platform.
Both on 2s lipo with 2n1 Spektrum 6000kv Motor/ESC

Love the vid! Just getting into the hobby. Randomly bought a Typhon Grom at a hobby store for my son and we’re hooked! That other car you have is so cool

This is my introduction to the channel and I love the video! It's nice to see someone compare two vehicles that are different. It's not always about seeing which is better, but just what the differences are. Then I can decide which is better for me.

G'day mate, first time I've seen the channel. Just a quick thought for the grom. Open up the existing vents more. Make vents on the body and maybe an extra fan. Really like the video, I have the Losi, it's a good look at both. New subscriber aboard. Peace ✌️ out from Australia 🇦🇺

Hi, i am looking for good shocks for my 14th scale and 12 scale cars. What aftermarket shocks can you recommend?

I had a Subaru Wrx STI and it took about 6 months of ownership before I took it out on some dirt /gravel roads. It was a monster off the tarmac. That’s where it shines. Same for the grom

The one variable that wasn't taken into account was the stock tires on both. I can't help but wonder how the Arrma would have handled the pavement with some street tires.

What all modifications did you do to it

I would like a mini b if we had a indoor track where I live but I just got me and my dad brushless Groms and after seeing this video I'm so happy I went with them

Nice vid bro. Did you use the stock pinion?

Did you convert the Arrma to brushless? Im considering buying myself a Typhon grom in red also but here in Australia they're a brushed motor and have a heat sink on the motor plus a fan. From what i remember the Losi was a brushed motor and also a brushless option too. I reckon i would prefer the Arrma before the Losi for durability. The Losi isnt really a basher type buggy, its more suited to a race track.

Great video, Subscribed, bro. A fair comparison would have been the Associated Reflex 14B 4wd Buggy. I love mine but I had to add quite a bit of aftermarket parts to make it into the offroad carpet racer it is today. It is not good for bashing IMO. I was hoping the Typhon Grom with a brushless system would make the ultimate mini club racer for offroad carpet racing. If it handles well and is more durable than the Reflex14b that would be awesome. I'm waiting for mine to come in. 1/14 and 1/16 scale offroad carpet racing is becoming really popular. It started out with the cheap WLtoys the the Reflex 14b. So much fun when you have 4 or more on the carpet race track.
