Adding clean outs are great, the more the better! I've learned most roots hate air. They die off or change direction when they hit an air pocket. A new drain line buried in 1" rocks goes a long way helping those roots die off before they find the water inside the pipe. So it's trench, fabric, rocks on the bottom, pipe, more rocks, cover over with fabric. (Then dig it all up in 10years and repeat!) lol

Chuck, have you ever installed perforated pipe(the corrugated black ones) for a geothermal system?

Basically, pipe running for several feet underground, with an inlet in one end and an exit inside the house, many times aided by a fan that pulls the cooler(sometimes warmer, depending on relative seasonal temperature) air from the underground pipes into the home.
I'm doing research for installing one on a house I'll be building soon.

If you haven't heard of it you should look into it. It's an old technology used very much in the Middle East, but it is also known by Europeans for its use in Provençal France. Canadians do it to some degree too. It's picking up interest among offgriders fast. Maybe you can make extra business with this. Check it out.
