Love this video. What type of exterior was the house and what are some tricks to different types of exteriors?

My house is half concrete and half cement board siding, with the concrete on the lower level and siding on the upper. Would the spray method be best for this? Or would I have to go back and roll so much that it wouldnt be worth it? I live in northern Virginia if the climate matters also. Thanks!

I'm getting ready to do my home exterior, but I'm afraid of using the sprayer because I don't want wind to catch the paint and detail my neighbor's car. I assumed rolling was my only option, but do you think an inexperienced homeowner could manage the overspray?
