The S1 Duplex is a real beast. In real life on the Pennsylvania Railroad it was so big it couldn't fit on their turntables and had to use Triangle junctions to turn around. I think if memory serves it's longer than a big boy loco

The S1 would be interesting to see. The Pennsylvania also did a Loco called the T1 which was also a duplex it was a 4-4-4-4, and I have one of the Broadway Limited T1's. There is a group here in the US building a new Pennsylvania Railroad T-1, a real one in the vein of "Tornado" and "Prince of Wales" in the UK.

There's something about black, tanker wagons which takes me back to my childhood.. as did today's lunch of fish fingers, mash & baked beans.😂🤣
Very much enjoyed your summary.👍

The interesting thing about the Bachmann Rebecca is that it means that Bachmann have tooled a Southern Light Pacific….

If I was accurascale, i would have increased the price by a whole dollar just so I could say "We had to increase the price of it due to the hobby" XD

My partner already pre ordered his S1, literally his favourite train.
The Pennsylvania Railroad made some really ridiculous and frankly mental designs, so it's pretty great to see this one, probably the most extreme of them all, in particular get made in a more accessible model.

15:24 I wish I had the money for it when it comes out, the S1 is my favorite locomotive of all time!

Rebecca looks like a nice model! I'm rather tempted to get her... Also, it's the closest Bachmann will get to producing an SR West Country Class which Hornby usually produces even a shit-ton of them.

The Duplex looks absolutely stunning so please do follow it. Whether it’s too rich for me… well, we’ll just have to see.

Great news all around. That duplex has peaked my curiosity - that's a "yes" vote.
Scale Rail Ray - back to the round house until next time.

Sam, I would love to see the S1. Broadway locos are often unaccessible to those without buckets of money, and getting to see your honest, in depth, and detailed reviews of their otherworldly products is a great time. Hope to see it, thanks for reading.

The coronation coaches look damn impressive! I'm definitely getting a set of them, especially the observation car, to run with my Mallard.

And as always, great video Sam! The Model Railway News is one of my favourite series from you.

The Broadway Duplex Steam loco looks great and typifies American streamling at its finest. The cab roof seamless blends into the tender with gentle curves that is just awesome.

The Pennsylvania Railroad S1 class Duplex Locomotive. I may not to Modeling, but I say you should go for it Sam. It’s a very cool looking locomotive.

In real life they sucked, but I bet it can work in model form.

The s1 duplex looks absolutely phenomenal BLI should be goddamn proud of themselves 👍 (I’m just passionate about how well they do model trains)

We’ve had hydrodipping in the car world for a couple of years now. It’s interesting to see it being used at a smaller scale! I’d rather like to see that interior in person one day

Ooooh! Yes, Sam, do follow the Broadway model. I'm not usually that into steam but that looks like it'll make one heck of a model.
