I visited Japan for the second time just a month ago, and I already want to go back. Your lessons proved very helpful: I managed to order food in Japanese and I was able to understand most of the announcements on buses and trains. I felt so proud of myself, but you had a big part in it. Also, after years of self-teaching, I now joined a proper school. 日本語は難しいですけど、毎日日本語を楽しく勉強しています!

I've been trying to take learning Japanese more seriously so I was able to watch most of this video without looking at the subtitles! ありがとうございます!

It's so helpful when you speak so slowly and clearly !!! Loved the video.

Your channel is the best channel for learning practice. Having the Japanese and English subtitles at the same time makes it so much easier to understand!

I do think that Japan's low meal prices and its high quality is amazing. Absolutely spot on, Mochi sensei!

It should be the standard everywhere tbh. Can't wait to go back to Japan and eat tons 🙌🏼

It's useful to be aware of the loan words in Japanese, and how the rendering is changed. For example how tip becomes "chip".

Excellent delivery of speech in Japanese as well as in English. Kudos to your excellent effort to enlighten me about the cost of living in Japan.

The service level in Japan is sky high compared to Europe or USA. Food was relatively cheap at a nice restaurant at Shibuya SKY with a view over Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Around 2200-2300 Yen for a very nice dish. The service was impressive at this restaurant, and everywhere else we went. Can't wait to be back in July.

Almost everything in Japan is very cheap for Americans and Europeans until they go to a Supermarket to buy Japanese fruits.

In some areas of Tokyo rent can be expensive, but you can get food in Japan for a pretty good fair price. Such a good video from you.

Nice video, slow pace, easy vocabulary more or less. Combining all this with Japanese culture exploration topics, I think it's easy to see why people may want to see more of this type of videos, yay! Good job!

I looked up cost of rent in Tokyo a couple weeks ago or so and it is pretty much consistent with the numbers you gave. Tbh, even if you go a size up in Tokyo and pay more, this still beats anything that you can get for the same price in London, where costs are growing and living standards are declining steadily. Everything in Tokyo by comparison (based on what I have seen through various content online + many people whom I've met who have been there) is much cleaner, infrastructure is much better and you can get to almost anywhere you want relatively easily, low crime, better quality and cheaper food and the fact that a foreign national can actually buy and own property in Japan makes this extremely attractive to someone like me who is looking for a second home. Good news for me - I am not particularly keen on staying too close to big cities, I just need them to be close enough so I can get a train to go there when I need to, but otherwise I want a smaller cosy town. My first trip to Japan in Oct will mainly focus on exploring Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and areas nearby like Saitama (it has a railway museum I've been wanting to see for a long time!), Nara, Kobe, Fukui etc. But after that I might do another trip and focus on going towards the Northern part of the country and eventually getting to Sapporo and Hakodate. The latter I heard is a really nice place, is it true?

Thank you for making these great videos. Not only does it help me learn Japanese but its very informative. I plan to move to Japan in about a year and appreciate the info 🙏. I am listening very closely to the Japanese and the sound effects are a bit loud but still very happy. Thank you thank you.
