I gotta share this. Not sure if you've gone over it but it's my Personal Fav Gunner Build rn.

Burning Hell Minigun; 31221 & Feedback Module Coilgun; 12211

So you know how Driller got that explosive goo oc recently? Well, this is that for Gunner except it came first.
Rather then shooting the bugs w/ the minigun--you shoot the ground instead, so Burning Hell lights the bugs on fire.
You can still shoot the bugs alil if they need some more softening but you really need to light them on fire more so. Once you feel they are weak enough; you fire the Coilgun to not only scare off the bugs and spread the heat--but make them explode!
This works better on harder difficulties. The tougher the bugs are--the more likely the fiery explosion will keep some alive to make more explode. This combo is addicting and saves so much ammo.

A "weakness" of the build is dealing with bosses--the only time you'll have to directly aim your minigun at the target; But with so much ammo saved from the combo you should be fine. If there's any "real weakness"--your friends will hate you from all splash damage. This is certainly a Solo/Karl Build.

Oh, one more thing. Since the Coilgun doesn't need a full charge to fire you can do the following to make zipline mining safer.
First, find section you wanna mine; then check the distance with the Zipline gun.
Keep your aim steady and still, switch to the coilgun and fire a semi-charged shot into the wall.
Now quickly switch back to the zipline gun and fire the zipline thru the hole you just shot.
Congrats, you can now mine into the wall without getting off the zipline~ I wish the zipline got this as an upgrade tbh, it's really helped with large gems and eggs.

If you want to double down on crowd control and slowing down every bug that tries to approach you, you could take the GOAT of Sludge Pump overclocks Disperser Compound, but Sludge Blast is actually the Sludge Pump's best single target overclock, and because charged Sludge Blast fragments have double the projectile velocity of the normal charged projectile, it is easier to hit enemies from further away with Sludge Blast.
P.S., in cases where every fragment of the charged Sludge Blast shot hits, both Dyse Nozzle (increased charge shot damage) and Atomizer Nozzle (increased fragments) end up doing the same damage, so tier 2 is basically up to personal preference.

I'll just throw my preemptive comment right here:
The Sludge Blast is insanely good for killing bosses. The only problem is that it's NOT ECONOMICAL AT ALL. You WILL need a ressuply or two between bosses, maybe more if you need to kill a lot of bugs on the way. But one way or the other it's absolutely worth it. I never expected this gun of all things to deal that much damage but here we are

I've been using a variation of this build with the increased corrosion clean overclock, and instead of sweet tooth I use vampire to capitalize on the slowdown.

I actually have a similar build like this, but instead of the Sludge Blast I use the Goo Bomber Special and Disperser Compound. However it's built more for coverage and swarms. It mostly lacks with big targets, but it still works at slowing them down. I'll definitely try out your build once I get Sludge Blast. Seems like a lot of fun!

The damage is disgustingly good. However this build drains so much ammo. It’s like -3% ammo gone per charged shot

This build is dogwater but it's really fun so I love running it
