No driller ever
But on a serious note swap the face melter with sticky fuel and run 12221 or 12231 and you'll really set the world on fire

when it comes to the wave cooker's status effects, such as blistering necrosis, i suggest taking the wide lens mod in tier 1 over ammo. the reason is that status effects are applied to each bug separately, as long as they are within the radius of the beam. blistering necrosis has only a 10% chance to spawn a blister, however, if you are able to hit 10 grunts, 1 of them will have a blister the instant you fire the wave cooker. having wider beams also makes it easier to hit blisters that spawn on the legs of larger glyphids. also, if you can learn to burst the wavecooker, take the higher rof in tier 2. the 25% heat is noticeable, but it isn't something that can't be managed, the extra rof will make dealing with hordes of grunts work quicker.

I quite like the damage mod in tier 2 along with Face Melter. shit legit deletes hordes of grunts

you should only have either both ammo mods on C4, or neither. Just having one gives you 3 C4, and when you go get a resupply it only gives you 1 back because it rounds down from half the maximum ammo value. It means, through the entire mission, you’ll just get 1 extra C4 use.

I use a similar build for my driller, but instead ive got the epc with burning nightmare and the HE grenades. (Perks are the usual survivability/convenience stuff, iron will and field medic with the passives resupplier, second wind, and one other i cant remember)


I run it like this usually because i take it into caretaker fights, the heat from the flaemthrower is good for ground level turrets and the epc can take out sniper turrets in around 5-6 shots with heat.

I usually play by drilling above the caretaker and throwing c4 down onto it to take out the vents, so i keep the he grenades because if i make the hole big enough its easy to cook the grenade for a minute and toss it at an arm and get it down in 2-3 to make things easier for people down below.

Idk if i like it more with heat mod or damage mod but its so fun, with heat mod i cooked a nemisis real fast

Hello, what do you mean by adjusting your play style if you want to take this build into hazard 5? I am still fairly new to the game but I like doing challenging content and I like this build a ton.

Hold on what? 3-4 is higher level content? I go play haz 3 when I want to mess around and I never lost a haz 4. Haz 3 is brain dead. Haz 2 has nothing to fight are there really people who play that past the tutorial levels
