Painting the rear brake calipers on my Miata

With the Wilwood big brake kit installed on the front end, I just couldn’t leave the rear brake calipers on my Miata bare metal. In this video I walk through painting them with VHT high-temp caliper paint and putting everything back together.

Now that's how you paint your brakes - nice work and your ND looks really great! Thanks for the upload.

Which spacer size did you end up getting for front and back ? I'm waiting 4 weeks for my new 2022 machine grey Miata to arrive from Japan to Canada.

I'd recommend getting braided brake lines for the rear aswell. From my experience braided lines only at the front result in extra swelling in the rear rubber lines, so you don't get much of a pedal feel difference. Obviously your pedal feel will be pretty darn good with those big brakes anyways. But something for the further maybe? 🤔😎

Love the music in all of your videos

Thanks for taking the time to film and share this video. Im looking to do the same with my callipers as I don't want to paint the while they are on the car. Did you pop out the caliper cylinders or did you just mask them up? Also, how much paint did you use. I'm wondering if one of each can would do 4 calipers? Cheers from Australia!

Looking to take the same upgrade path for my RF’s brakes. Did you consider changing the rear rotors?
