Materials:
Embroidery floss
Scissors
Ruler or cardboard template (optional)
Steps:
Choose the color of embroidery floss you want to use for your tassel.
Cut a length of floss, approximately 6-8 inches long, and set it aside for later.
Cut another length of floss, approximately 6-8 inches long, and tie it tightly around the center of the wrapped floss.
Cut another length of floss, approximately 6-8 inches long, and tie it tightly around the folded floss, approximately 1/4 inch from the top.
Trim the ends of the folded floss to create a tassel shape.
Use the length of floss you set aside earlier to tie a knot around the top of the tassel, approximately 1/2 inch from the top.
Trim the excess floss from the knot.
Optional: Thread a needle and use it to weave the remaining length of floss through the top of the tassel, creating a loop for hanging.
Optional: Attach a jump ring to the loop for hanging.
