Thank you for your marketing tips. To expand on free social media possibilities. The most successful marketing tip I received was on targeting the audience - from back when you had to buy advertising space - was to determine who your market was and reach them through media they watched/read. Example. I made t-shirts w/puffy paint 'bird poop' splattered on the shirt, and the shirt read 'Don't Feed the Seagulls' and 'D*mn Seagulls'. I took out a small b/w add w/photo in the back of a sailing magazine. Sold every single shirt. Flash forward to Facebook, and I market my garden paintings or cute trailer paintings as a member of FB groups devoted to those subjects. I don't spam them or violate their policy. I am a member of the groups because that is my interest, and the soft sell posts follow naturally. My journals will be of a theme - butterflies, roses, medicinal 'weeds'/herbs. I mention them on relevant FB groups and get commissions or sales that way. Rather than hoping someone sees my work in the thousands of Etsy shops, I go right to where interested people congregate
