As a German I can confirm that the Green Line textbook from Klett is a genuine textbook for English classes used in school. ^^ Klett is one of the biggest publishers here for school books.

Rejection being part of writing is so so true, and honestly true to life. Over the years, you learn to appreciate the rejections - especially if the rejection isn't a mark against your character or ideas, just the timing of them and your preparedness.

I used to submit to literary journals, and life got in the way a bit, so I dropped doing that. But now that I'm working my way back into academia, I think I'm going to try to stretch that muscle again this coming school year and see what I can do in the nonfiction essay space, or with literary criticisms.

Congrats on being included in the Klett textbook. I use that publisher as an ESL teacher and I was wondering if you could send me the ISBN because I might get to use it in class. You see, the German Bundesländer don't all use the same edition textbook because of their different syllabi; so now I'm wondering which edition includes the excerpt from your book.
