season 2 episode 10

So this is from s2 e10 'Quarantine' in The Good Doctor, you can watch it on Netflix.
Basically, there's a group of 4 surgical residents and 2 surgeons. One of the surgeons does normal surgery and the other is a trauma surgeon, like in the ER. Sometimes 2 or 3 residents are chosen to help the trauma surgeon. In this episode the two of them were dr shaun Murphy, the main character also he has autism, and dr Morgan Reznick.
The trauma surgeon's name is dr Lim. So they were helping out and then two ambulances came with 2 people who were injured. This is important but there was a buzzing light which distracted Shaun and he didn't like it. One was close to dying and getting cpr from a police officer named Tyler. (Just to let you know dr Reznick and Tyler were close). The dying one had a rash, which shaun found and then the dying one died. They asked the second patient if she knew the dying dude and the second patient said they were both on the same flight back from Malaysia. The second patient also had a slight rash. The surgeons figured that there was some infection that the two of them had. The patient died. The surgeons figured out that it was an airborne virus and ordered a quarantine in the whole ER section. The patients in the ER were scared.
Speed up to now. Tyler caught the virus and died. Dr Reznick was in a lot of emotional pain but needed to continue her job. Currently, she was operating on one of the patient's bowel while taking orders from dr lim with the help of one of the ER nurses.
Dr lim had caught the virus from Tyler so she was in a quarantine room. One of the other surgical residents' son was in the ER and having an asthma attack after one of the patients in the ER threw up on another patient. The other patients were screaming and the buzzing light gradually became more irritating to shaun. All of this and the loud noises made shaun have a break down. When dr Reznick was asking dr lim for another order, she didn't respond. The two looked over and she had fallen off her chair as if she was dead. She wasn't dead btw. The edit I made is just a collage of the most chaotic and traumatic parts in this scene.

I'm autistic and I think that the good doctor is probably underrated incredibly, they portrait different characteristics and traits that you can have with autisim and show how people can be treated but also how people with autism can do so much but just sometime need extra help to get there. I don't know many good shows with autistic characters like this show too. I also cried watching this scene because I felt what that would feel like for him.

Freddie Highmore who plays Shaun plays Shaun’s autism incredibly realistically and how he can start off as a little kid named Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory too a autistic doctor and then a serial killer in Bates motel. He is one of my favourite actors

This short makes me want to go back and watch this episode again. I thought the virus was gonna take over the world, but luckily they found a cure.

In the last mass casualty event of the series in season 7. Dr. Murphy is faced with a similar situation in the ED where he is bombarded with delegating priorities to optimize patient care. His hallmark sign of stress is shown when he covers his ears in panic, but this time is able to control his panic and devises a plan to delegate tasks. Another way the show really comes full circle and pays homage to how much Shaun has truly grown as a doctor.

As a Good Doctor fan, The episodes when the Covid came, were just so Emotional. This scene especially. So much going on, Kellan almost dying, Audrey almost dying everything was so sudden. This scene definetly made me tear up a bit.

when I watched that scene, I went to google if he died in that episode. Google didn’t answer me, so I checked if he was on the front of any other episode further into the series on Netflix💔 I only continued watching after 100% sure he didn’t die at the floor that episode.

I think it’s so important how this show really shows how there’s nothing that can stop someone from being good at something<3

Knowing that it’s possible to succeed when you’re autistic it means the world I have autism and seeing things like this it means the world knowing that there’s still a future
