You know what was special about Peggy? She didn't run with the pack. Joan was interesting and definitely admirable. Betty was exceptionally beautiful. In many ways. The other girls were good. Really good. But Peggy didn't run with the pack. My favorite scene was the lipstick. All the others are trying it on and making comments . She goes after just one because it's her mark. She's quiet. Even somewhat demure, but as steady as a rock.

You outdid yourself Elisabeth. By the end the show was really about Don and Peggy. Don was winding down his career while Peggy's was just taking off. A great performance by you, Jon, and the rest of the cast.

It was halfway through season 3 when it occurred to me that _Mad Men_ was about Peggy Olsen, not necessarily Don Draper. Jon Hamm was definitely the "star", but it was Peggy who had the "hero's journey".
