This was my wives favorite song
I cry like a baby when I hear it
49 years wasn't enough

I never knew that a single scene could express so much. Truly amazing.

I'm not even a Beyonce fan, but you gotta give this woman her roses for how well she portrayed Etta James in "Cadillac Records", and just for the way she absolutely murders the performance in this scene.
This was such a cool story with an all-star cast, but this flick didn't get NEARLY the recognition that it deserved. Leonard Chess all but introduced the world to the blues back in the late 40's when he started pressing LP's for Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Howlin' Wolf, etc. and he gave a Cadillac to every artist who signed with him.
Dude was a 1st generation polish immigrant with a business model that was lightyears ahead of it's time.

You can tell B gave this scene/song her all. The way she sings, cries and expresses the emotions at the same time. Makes me cry all the time 😢❤

Falling in love is a beautiful thing. Trying to stay in love is very challenging, falling out of love hurts, because you know deep in your heart you'll always love that person.

I don't know why B didn't win a OSCAR for her role in Cadillac Records. Especially when she did this song. Man she Killed it! Song better than the Original with no disrespect.
