DC statehood was also approved by the House in 2018 as well but they seem to forget that a constitutional amendment is needed for DC to become a state. DC was created in 1790 as a federal district, not a state, for our nations capital.

Remember that time we made D.C. specifically to not be in one state or another in order to prevent one state from having the most power...those were good times.

Cool. Now where do we move our nation's capitol, since the point of D.C. not being a state was that it wouldn't be biased against any states. ...that it would be dedicated to the country rather than a state.

Give the land back to Maryland and Virginia that they gave to form Washington DC and those citizens will not be “represented” and keep Washington DC as just the federal buildings and the monuments and statues. The constitution says Washington DC should not be a state
