When I see this cutscene, I can see her letting go of her burden, and almost sighs out this smile-- like she had been holding her breath the entire time and can finally release a genuine smile.

The way I see it people don’t smile the same way when they are truly happy. I tend to find when someone really is happy about something the mouth does actually open a little

My "real" smiles are some of the dumbest faces I'll ever make, but when I make them, I'm being myself and open around other people I'm comfortable with. If I don't want people to see my smile, I cover my mouth.

Another great detail is from the Champion's Ballad - When she is laughing with Daruk, she immediately covers her mouth with her hand and keeps it there.
