Why is it that the clear display case the Sovereigns come in are always damaged? Can't they get a small detail like that right at the mint?

Britannia was my go to certainly for bullion trading as it was designed to global standard in terms of purity and traded size. In terms of proofs nowadays charging so heavily over spot there is arguably less ability for the mint to not vary the design yet expect the large premiums. But then the effort to get truly iconic coin design whilst maintaining the sov original purpose of dependability and fungibility as old currency runs counterintuitive to doing that with the sovereign unless the occasion is spectacular. Why does the full sovereign not have a pony tail, and all the other coins do?

I always feel like the Royal mint have gotten the mintages the wrong way around with the sovereign and the half sovereign.

It just seems wrong to me that the smaller sovereign is more rare.🤔
