Thank You soooo much!!! I am day 5 into immediate dentures, and have been unfortunate enough to get a dentist, that did a poor job of convincing me, this monstrosity in my mouth are supposed to be my quality final dentures, after a 6 month hardline, for a final product. I on the other hand have been mortified, to the point of tears, multiple times per day! This whole thing has been a total nightmare beyond describing!!! i must be the patient, that had greater bone loss than anticipated, because from day one, my dentures are insane big and loose!!! I've taken pictures today, watched a couple of videos, yours by far, told me everything i needed to know, to make informed choices for myself!!! I sincerely thank you for that!!! One would have thought $15, 000.00, would have at least included the truth!!! Won't be the first time, I had a hard lesson learned in life. I ahould be a genius by now! lol Here I sit, on day 5 of my vacation, and don't even want to talk to anyone on the phone! Seen my 64 year old brother at the dollar store, as I was trying to sneak in under my hat, and curly hair. I barked at him, not to look at me, then I went into the store. When he came in, with a confused, and concerned expression, I barked again, I don't want you to see me, he said why? I replied, I'm ugly, of course my loving brother said, you're not, can I give ypu a hug, and tell you I love you? Reluctantly I conceded, but did not look at him. Thank you so much for such an informative video. For me I went with Affordable Dentures. I will be in the extraction phase the end of month. But with all the info I have gotten with you, I can honestly say I’m more confident in this journey. Again what I understand is your only going to be as good as the maker of your Dentures are. Day 6 with immediate dentures. Thus far the thing I dread is the pain or pinching inserting the uppers. The lowers float out when drinking water. I have next dental appt. In a few days. Other than missing a burger, I'm surviving OK on smoothies. Pasta works by swallowing a gulp of water each spoon.
Lastly, I've got faith this entire process will work, since I've had to pawn my 1st born to pay for the ability to chew & smile again in 6 months. :-)

What is the difference between a valplast partical vs the metal one. I use to have a metal one bit I was allergic to the metal my dentist just said you cannot adjust the valplast one it is an upper one

I recently had 4 on 3 implants, the experience with Western Dental in Torrance, California WAS HORRIBLE!! the dentist didn't know what cap size to put on my implant, it seemed that he was experimenting or guessing on the different sizes that didn't fit the snap on dentures that I paid $8000 out of pocket, not to mention them not fitting. I got temporary dentures at first(which were made really nice)
I had expressed to him that I wanted the same shape, size, and color for my snap in dentures, just like the temporary ones so he assured me that I would love my snap ons. Well he lied!! I couldn't get them damn things off my mouth I ended up with severe anxiety, pain and sores straight up welts in my mouth. Anyway the bottom ones snap on ok, not very good but just ok, now the top ones cause me so much pain on my gums, they don't fit at all!! One side tries to snap when I'm struggling to snap them on but the other side, (which it took him 3 hrs forcing the upper dentures on one side to fit the very first time) ( I was literally crying yelling at him that it was very very painful and to stop forcing them on my mouth) he didn't even numb me, he was shaving them from all sides that he put some reline putty on one side of the denture cuz he shaved it too much, the denture looked lopsided!. I don't know what to do? The upper dentures make me bleed on my gums, and they don't fit snug, but tooo tight!! He used a thick Mil screw on the side that bothers me, it doesn't snap in place at all. Only I snap snaps and the rest are not the right size for the little holes on my den tires to be able to fit. He forced them in my mouth the day I went home with my snap one but because I begged him to numb my upper gums I didn't feel much pain after all the excruciating pain he caused me before he decided to numb my gums and snap those dumb ugly looking things in my mouth. Whoever made my implants was either stupid, simple, or slow, OR simply didn't give a sh*"l on how the dentures would look or even fit. My 3 yr old has better craftsmanship when she makes things with pla-doh, than these denture making IDIOTS!.
Can you help me on how, or what can I do to get my $8000 dentures to fit! What can I do? I'm a afraid to go back to these botching dentists because I'm afraid that they are only gonna make things worse, and I rather leave the outcome that might happen, to God because if I take care of it, IM GOING TO JAIL!.😷😖 I thank you for your informative videos and your time.🙂

I recently received a new upper denture *and* lower partial (not my first for either one). The upper denture felt odd in my mouth, and I just contributed it to the newness. After a few days it wasn't better. It actually felt like the upper denture palate was slanted while in my mouth. I looked in the mirror, smiled and sure enough it was slanting down to the right. My gum line is showing more on this side also. I put my 3-year-old denture back in (to compare), and it was straight with gum lines barely showing. Okay, now I'm confused. Looking closer at the new denture, it has less gum over the teeth on the left than on the right, which would explain why the gum shows more on the right side when I smile. When I set the denture down on a flat surface, the teeth are flush with the surface. But when I turn it around to look at the back angle, I can see the pallet area is slanted. I also can see (while in my mouth) the lower partial sits lower on the right, which makes sense if the upper denture is slanting down on the right.

When I received the new denture & lower partial it was hitting on the right side and the dentist did some adjusting on the lower partial for it. It didn't do much, I couldn't eat with them, so I went back a week later for more adjustments. Again, the dentist is adjusting on the right side of the lower partial and upper denture again and again. It's still hitting but I thought maybe because it's sore and I'd wait and see, but it's still hitting on the right, so I have to go back. How much more can he grind on the right??? Will he start grinding on the left??? Will I have any left to grind??? Will he ruin my new denture and partial???? Sorry, I was venting there.

Anyway, I brought it to his attention that the upper was slanted. He said he could see it and grinded off some of the top right wall of denture. It was a bit better but still not straight to me.
I asked him if the impression could have been incorrect, and he said "No" because of the type of material that he uses. He said everyone's mouth is different and things also change. By the way, impressions were done with trays. I'm just not convinced he is right and that he's making excuses (in an abrupt tone), so he doesn't have to redo them. I get the impression (no pun intended 😁), that time is money and that it's about quantity and not quality with him. Not a good look.


So, in a nutshell I just want to know if I'm crazy or not. If I am then I'll let it go and move on. But if I'm not crazy then I need to play my cards differently. I did call another dentist office and briefly explained why I wanted an opinion on a new denture and partial. The receptionist said she would "run it by the doctor" and call me later in the day. That was 2 days ago, and no call back. Are dentists hesitant to do opinions on another dentist's work? Do dental offices talk to each other? Would I be wasting my time calling a different dental office?

My teeth extractions were 6 days ago my bottom fit nice, my top does fit right at all palate feels to low in my mouth and my bite is definitely off. Any suggestions?

What about on medicade Wisconsin because I went ti try mine on yesterday and they looked horrible in my mouth teeth were long and big...I want them to be shorter and wider and when I asked they acted like I asked for too much

Im 41 I couldn't afford my temporary dentures. I had to go straight to permanent and nothing about them is correct. I unfortunately am stuck with them till my insurance allows me to get new ones because my insurance pays 100% of permanent ones.

I got my teeth pulled in July and just yesterday the end of October went in for my wax tryan and I could not believe how huge my dentures were on me and what bothering me the most was my upper lip it look like I had something stuffed under my upper lip. My upper lip is like protruding out like it looks like the upper lip of a mouse. I've seen the same thing on other people who got them as well. How do you make it to where my upper lip doesn't look like this like what is wrong here? I really need some help I went in for my wax try in today and just cried so so hard because I thought oh my God I don't want to look like this at all. My dentist sent my dentures back into the lab to see if maybe they can make the teeth smaller but I'm afraid that this is not going to help the fact that the gums are still too big what do I do? Please please help
