Requirements to Pass a Skills Assessment

A skills assessment is often the first step to most Australian permanent work visas. including General Skilled Migration and Permanent Employer Sponsored visas. Without a skills assessment you can’t apply for all general skilled migration visas including:

- Skilled Independent (Subclass 189)
- Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190)
- Regional Nominated (Subclass 489) or the new (Subclass 491)

If you can’t meet the requirements for a skills assessment, then you can't apply for these visas. Therefore it is the first thing you should consider.

Hi. How does one apply for skilled assessment for accountant general to claim partner points. CPA only assesses with 7 or above IELTS. Partners need only 6 points for IELTS. However, they do not seem to assess with 6 points.

Payment Evidence must include at least two different types of documentary evidence from the following list of categories. This must cover the beginning and end for each year of employment being claimed in the application
• Official government tax records or documents that may include payment summaries, group certificates or notices of assessment (citing company and applicant name)

I read that in some cases, the DOI assesses the work experience declared on your EOI against ANZSCO requirements if there is a difference (i.e. more experience declared) between what a skill assessment body says about an applicant's experience. I've found a couple of references for this detail saying that this is a recent change. Is this correct?
