Local content: UK is not local content for EU.

The UK is going to compete with EV's on the European market? Yeah right dream on. The EU is never going to allow this especially if this is subsidised with public money. Please try to understand the meaning of the phrase "the world is going to operate in blocs" because if you don't we are going through the same over and over again.

France is restricting its EV subsidies (up to 15k€) to cars made in the EU.

Huge subsidies for global companies and reduced subsidies for farmers and growers . Our 16 percent food inflation is not helped by subsidising nissan and tata.

Every taxpayer in the UK should get a free Nissan !

2 billion pounds to prop up a failing concept. It has already been proven that there is not a viable demand for EVs without serious government subsidies to incentivise it. The German government recently withdrew company car subsidies for EVs, which was around 90% of their EV market. The resulting market crash is coming close to finishing off VW.

This will end production in Sunderland. Electric cars do not do the job. They are failing all over the world. Madness.

As more and more EVs burst into flames and battery life expectancy hits home, insurance will become out of reach for the ordinary motorist.
