K-Electric has recently raised electricity rates by Rs5.76 per unit for May and June, generating Rs10.5 billion. Now, they are seeking an additional Rs3.1 per unit increase for July to collect another Rs6.2 billion. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has scheduled a public hearing on August 29 to consider this request.
