Got a jump done by quadrupling up some 16awg wires and doing the same thing! It works in a pinch!

Just so everyone knows some cars n SUVs if u do this it will completely dry ur fuse box n car will not 🚫 turn back on and it'll basically be totaled u'll have to fork out damn near 3grand to have brand new fuse box wires n all replaced maybe alternate too happened to my dad but most older cars that is not all electric will work fin on it without issues

I tried with some 12/2 before it burnt up instantly. So I cut about 4 lengths and doubled them up then twisted them into 2 pairs. It got the van started but the coatings we're all melted and I could see where my twist were not tight because they were glowing red... And if you do have to try this don't cross wires. And definitely keep them out the puddle wtf
