I have spent most of my twenties there. In the city there's around 80, 000 university students, so during the school year around one out of five people is a student, giving it youthful vibe. Public transport there is legendary and back then it used to be way cheaper than Prague. Another hidden gem for travelers would be Olomouc, around one hour drive away from Brno - it used to compete with Brno for capital status in Moravia.
