I understand partially why some manufacturers include CDs. Let's say you purchased the motherboard in a local store and you have no internet at home but for weird reasons you have a CD drive. Back then it would make sense to include a CD, but these days we can use an USB drive, instead. Also, when I got my MSI X570 Torpedo Max I didn't know the included USB drive is meant to update the BIOS. I thought it was a little gift for the user.

Thanks to the internet even if they didn't give the disc that comes with it people can still download drivers on the manufacturers site

Im building a retro gaming pc, the motherboard I got came with a drivers CD, im just curious if the driver CD's come with ALL the drivers, not just chipset? Specifically, I need the SATA drivers so that Windows XP can recognize the sata drives I will have in my build. but the official website doesnt have the drivers anymore
