Girl, EVERYTHING is dramatic after a break up. You're moving homes and learning a new normal. You can absolutely get as emotional as you want when a place to LIVE falls through. Its a big part of our lives.

The best way to look at missing out on the other one with the tub is that now you don’t have to give your money to the landlord every month. If they treated that interaction with you in that way, I can’t imagine they would be a joy to deal with should something come up. Glad you got what you wanted. 🎉

crying in your car about something you're "not supposed to get emotionally invested in" is probably the most relatable thing I've seen on this channel ❤❤ I have been this girl many times!

Aw wish I could hug you through the screen. Apartment hunting takes such an emotional toll, don't even downplay your emotions. Happy everything worked out!! <3

My husband works in kitchens and he said it might not be your cleaner it’s probably your towel. You have to use a microfiber towel. And what they use in kitchens on it is either windex or stainless cleaner. He has worked in kitchens all over Southern California from Disneyland to Airports and everything in between. They all use microfiber towels. I hope it helps.

Rachel- my partner of 9 years ended our relationship this year, and I had to let go of our apartment and move back in with my parents. Your attitude and strength is inspiring to me and I hope I can make it back on my feet as well as you!

As a cat mom and a fan of the channel for many years, I am super happy to see some cats being represented!

Aw Rachel, if it makes you feel any better when we were touring apartments in my city, we found a place and applied, and got it. Paid, signed the lease! And then the landlord called my past landlords, and rescinded the offer because of a past legal dispute with her over our security deposit that she kept unlawfully. I was devastated and so hurt about the whole situation. A couple weeks later, we found the PERFECT house!! And it was a better location, bigger house, with a garage. Everything happens for a reason. Even if it hurts. So excited for this new chapter for you

Glad to see you found a place to call home. Take time to nurture yourself. Starting over from scratch can be invigorating, but it's also a lot of stress so be kind to yourself and breathe deep. Take naps. Set an alarm for meals so you don't miss any. Splurge on the occasional order in. Invite a new neighbor to catch a performance at a local theater or concert. Bake cookies to share with your new neighbors and pick one a day to chat with. Buy yourself a new plant as a housewarming gift. Step by step. Don't worry about us. Take care of you and let yourself celebrate, cry, nap, explore the area in long introspective walks, have a paint the house party with a Crock-Pot stew and beer to celebrate when you're done. Whatever you do, remember you got this. You're strong, beautiful, intelligent, creative, resilient, and resourceful. You're going to be just fine, better than ever before. - sending hugs and prayers

Ugh! So happy for you!!
I do empathize with your statement of knowing what the next year of your life will be. I'm 41, own my home, and still often feel like I don't know!!
Very excited to see what you do with the place!

Don’t ever apologize for showing your emotions, you have every right to them. As a 73 year old mom, grandmother and great grandmother I wanted to reach out and give you a hug. My oldest granddaughter lives in Chicago and just went through her apartment hunting search, which she took me along through FB. I am so happy you have found such a beautiful place, and that it so bright and happy!

Awe, you tearing up, i wanted to hug you through the screen! Never down play your emotions, house hunting brings more emotions forward I feel - knowing that that is where your next chapter starts, waking up, coming home, we picture our furniture and all, dinner nights with friends and fam... it can be emotional. I'm sooo happy you found what you were looking for and can't wait for the DIYs to come for this space, 'cause we all know the sorry girls hook each other up!!! Lol. Congrats on your beautiful home.

A lovely loft! I like the "modern museum" aesthetic, and am looking forward to seeing future episodes on how you design this space. Also, more Butter and Noodle, please!

Bar keeper's friend is great for cleaning stainless steel and I would also get stainless steel appliance cleaner for that streak-free look!

Also with such a light and airy space I think a dark and dramatic bathroom would be a total vibe

Door closed, window open. Sometimes it’s painful and awkward climbing through, but so worth it once the struggle is over. Here’s to your next chapter! Cheers!

I think this is the best one! Tub or not, I can’t imagine a cooler space to live! So much potential, but the bare bones are incredible. So happy for you! Can’t wait for more❤

I know it's really disappointing to have lost the second apartment, but when I moved to Toronto and was embarking on apartment-hunting, I was advised to be ready with my references, credit statement, and other application info to apply on the spot. I don't think that man was trying to lead you on, or that he had a previous offer -- if your email and application had come in first, he would have gone with you. I actually admire his ethics where he isn't looking for a bidding war. In Manitoba, we don't even bid on apartments -- the rent is what is listed.

This is a classic tale of what is meant to be will be. It is strange how in life, when things seem overwhelming, a little time and everything begin to fall into place little at a time just how it should be. "thankful for unanswered prayers comes to mind. So happy for you! It is great to se you smiling!!
