ISI selects you not on the basis of your marks but on your talent. That's why there is an subjective exam and is difficult that JEE Advanced.

One of the most underrated Institute. Blessed to be an alum of ISI Kolkata.
Some correction:
UG Stipend: 5k/month
PG Stipend: 8k/Month

Except that ISI also grants contignency/year (for purchasing books/materials/e books printouts etc) as folllows:
BSTAT/BMATH: 3k
MS/MSTAT: 5k
MTECH: 8k

You have to maintain min 60% marks in each sem otherwise the stipend will be halved.
