Former President Bush doesn't agree with President Obama on much of anything, but you won't see him blasting his successor in public.

The reason Bush doesn't criticize is because it's bad form when you are the worst president in living memory. Bush is like the butt-end of a compass...do the opposite!

Having a former president undermine the current president may be bad for the presidency, but that which weakens the office of the imperial president is usually good for the freedom of the country.

I don't expect this particular former president would have much constructive to add to the public discourse though.
