He was always kind to people no matter what affiliation (mature bi-partisan attitude) and never had a racist bone in his body. Of course the media never let us know that b/c it doesn't fit their narrative and they wanted to demonize him.

This is nice... and awkward at the same time. I have friends that I don't agree with politically, and (gasp) friends who don't share my ancestorial geography, religion, or don't necessarily look like me. So, I think it's nice that they're close... and awkward that those reporting this think that would be unusual in any way... {sigh}
