Kid can catch..Looks like a late 2nd or 3rd round pick to me. Could be a steal in this year's draft.

I'm an FSU fan and I honestly feel bad he even went here. He committed to Florida State as a Sophmore in HS when we were 26-1, had just won a NC the year before, and earlier that year had made an appearance in the first ever College Football Playoff. Despite losing that game, all signs pointed to FSU being one of the Dominant Programs in the FBS over the next decade, We had an Elite Coaching staff under Jimbo Fisher who was relatively young as far as Coaches go and who had been OC under Bobby Bowden for 3 years, before taking over the reins as heir apparent when Bobby retired. They seemed like a program ready to separate itself into a league of their own, similar to Alabama. If Nick Saban was Sonny Liston, Jimbo Fisher was the younger Muhammad Ali poised to dethrone him and take the title of consensus GOAT. After a nail biter in their 2016 season opener against Ol' Miss, #4 FSU would get EMBARRASSED against Louisville 63-20, and then would again be upset by NC two weeks later and would lose to Clemson as well. We would go on to beat Michigan in a pick 6 bowl, but after that FSU began a MASSIVE spiral downward. Even still, In 2017 when Cam arrived, Florida State had only lost 5 regular season games in the last 4 years. There were certainly no signs that would indicate what was about to transpire. Things got bad, and they got bad quick. Deandre Francois would be injured in FSU's season opening loss to Alabama and his replacement was a True Freshman 175 lb James Blackman, who despite being talented, simply was not ready to take over as starter. This would see Dalvin Cook being utilized to the point of being 1 dimensional on offense. During what I wish was the worst year for FSU, they would go 6-6, Jimbo would leave in week 12 for a job at TAMU, FSU would have to reschedule a game that had been cancelled due to weather to even retain bowl eligibility and FSU would go on to hire Oregon HC Willie Taggart. Dalvin Cook cast a huge shadow during his time at Florida State, setting several school rushing records. Cam was his backup during the 2017 season and had a few flashy moments but would get his first start in 2018, during what I HOPE is the worst year of FSU football ever, FSU would go 5-7, 2-4 in conference play, and be ranked 43rd Nationally. (Cam carried us to at least 4 of the 5 victories) We would suffer our first losing season in 38 years, making us ineligible for a bowl and ending the longest bowl streak in the country at 36 years. 2019 hasn't panned out much better for FSU (6-5), but Cam Akers has MORE than shown his worth again and his NFL stock should be higher than ever, proving despite adversity he is still capable of shining through. However, It's still a far-cry from what he probably imagined his time at FSU would be like.
Average attendance of each home game his Freshman year (77, 560)
Average attendance 2019 (36, 710)
