I really love how you efficiently use 3d models and especially spreading the idea that using such references isn't really cheating, and in fact it really is a great help for any artist beginner or professional

Personally, I do not have any oc that is a "bad boy". In my point of view, this type of character "bad person but deep down tender when he falls in love and handsome" is too well known and used. It is no longer "unique", so I like to collect some personalities that are not known to come out of the usual, at least in men. In ocs women I have sassys personalities, in men I have mostly sweet personalities and some that resemble the most "normal" in a person. Remember that there are varieties. 🖌📜

Reminder; Body type never matters! Any body type will do! I thought my heavyweight/chubby character would be the character nobody simps for, but, , , , she's the character everyone of my friends simps for and is genuinely my most simped for character. Its all in the posture and personality B)

This was incredibly eye-opening! I've made so many characters over the years. Some of which people absolutely simped for... some not so much. This was seemingly at random and I just couldn't put my finger on what was different, but when I look at some of my more simped-for characters and compare them to the points that you made, a lot of it lined up! Subbed. :)

gen pointers for my ref, but you can use them too!

1. character should be one that you would personally simp for

2. distinct personality traits (inc. positive and negative, latter makes oc more relatable therefore more simpable). eg. generous, arrogant

3. play with poses to express personality (eg. pose taking up more space = more confident personality, same for opposite). free pose refs can be found in online asset stores

4. signature colour palette consisting of max 5 colours. colours should correlate to personality/vibe of character. eg. dangerous personality, red, orange, black, yellow are commonly associated with warning signs. blue is associated with trust, purple with wealth/royalty.
