Line scanning is a highly specialised task in industrial image processing – however, it is not always necessary to use a dedicated line scan camera! How does this work?

IDS enables you to use many of our cameras together with a line scan camera mode. This means that you can use your area camera for tasks such as scanning documents, sorting mail and even inspecting railway tracks. This can often be more economical than choosing a purpose-built line scan camera 💡
