The more I clean canister filters, the more I appreciate do-it-yourself built in filters. They are efficient, easy to access and clean, no dealing with hoses, no leaks on the floor when cleaning, they are perfect and cheap.

I don’t like seeing the filter through the aquarium it self (you know where the fish swim), but through the sides it looks pretty cool imo. And i don’t know why, but Ronald seems like a good name for that fish 😬

Being in the hobby for well over 30 years, the one thing that I've learnt about filtration is that you can't have enough.... The more (and bigger) fish you have, the more filtration you'll need!

People say visible sponge filters in the tank are ugly but I like being able to see my sponge filters and the bubbles rising out of the tube. I just like the look of it.
