I won't get the winter fuel allowance because I am just over the line to receive pension credit.
So this winter, depending on how cold it will be, shall be hard for me
I started work when I was 16. I am now 70. I've worked all my life and
Paid into the system. I don't expect free handouts, but I can't understand why this new government has turned on us the pensioners.we are not migrants seeking free accommodation or benefits. I myself will have to keep my heating down by moving into just one room, which shall be easier to control my expenses.

Close the border to boat and lorry economic migrants, saving billions. Stop giving money away to funding union demands and cur the Foreign Aid budget to 10%. In Rachel Reeves own words, "If we can't afford it, we can't do it". Pensioners have paid into the system most of their working lives. On and during their retirement, they should be rewarded and provided for.

Don’t go on about v wealthy pensioners. Their numbers are so minute, it’s irrelevant. The state pension is half that of the rest of Europe already, including Spain, France, Germany and even Greece! And we are the fifth richest country in the world for goodness sake!
