After I turned 31 and got my mental health a bit better, I started to care about my body and face properly and, finally, got to like it! I think what most people don't understand about long beauty care routines is that such things can be (and for many people are) enjoyable. When you're finally starting to love yourself after years of self-hatred it is not a burden and more like a reclamation for all that self-love you forbidden.

My absolute holy grail now is handmade face soap with celandines from my friend's small business. I'm using it twice a day and nothing made my skin look so clean before (I used to have a lot of redness, oily skin and acne scars). Niacinamide serum and day cream with vitamin C and SPF is a must as well.

From a derm perspective, your white bumps might be steatocystomas. They're often hereditary. No surgery required as they can be excised with a nick and expressed out. Also, when using acids, for best results, do not mix retinols with Vit C products. Reserve Vit C for morning routine and retinols (and other acids) for evening. Best of luck to you.

Sunscreen. Sunscreen, sunscreen, SUNSCREEN!!
I've done so much damage to my face because I grew up in the "the tanner, the healthier" era. We used baby oil, all over our bodies and faces, then lay outside, in the baking hot, Australian summer sun - for HOURS!
And if it was raining, we'd hit the sunbeds. So, as a result, I look a LOT older than my 52 years!
So the one thing I ALWAYS make sure I use is sunscreen. And I make sure to reapply every two hours, PLUS only use makeup containing sunscreen.

You look AMAZING for your age! I honestly had you pegged as mid twenties - late twenties max!
Take care girlie! 🦇🕷️🕸️👻💀😈🖤😘🇭🇲

I just love goth skincare tips!!! And yes to trying the Korean 10 step skincare routine and then finding what fits and will stick!
(I also relate to those weird bumps T-T so slathering on concealer is the only thing that works)

Purito is my go to. They’re vegan and cruelty free (although I’m not vegan) and I have sensitive skin but their products have never caused any issues for me.

If you wear sunscreen every day make sure to take plenty of vitamin D. I'm 53 and can easily pass for 40, but I developed MS in my late 40's. There could be a connection between low levels of vitamin D and MS.

I have just turned 40 and use about the same amount of products. I make sure I have retanoids, peptides, niacinamide, vitamin c, EGF and Hyaluronic acid in my routine. Daily broad spectrum SPF 50 is also a must. Always make sure makeup is fully removed before bed, drink plenty of water and I take collagen supplements too. Also I use the same products on my face, neck, décolletage and hands! 🥰

Castor oil!

Visibly reduced my frown lines within a few weeks..
My skin is sensitive, and sometimes, I get dermatitis from certain products.
But I've not experienced any skin issues with castor oil, and I've also read that it can fade age spots when mixed with frankincense😊

Black looks amazing on you, but if I had natural red hair, like you do, I'd be so happy with it.

Fellow autistic goth obsessed with skincare!

For wrinkle prevention try dab and patting motion. Pulling and dragging harsh wash clothes can attribute to premature wrinkles. Better yet I just use my blow dryer to blast my face (cool setting)

Just got into Pacifica’s reusable silicone masks. Good for the environment, works similar to frownies, and you can use your serums/masks with it while you sleep. Really nice before an event helps force you to relax your facial muscles.

Also Gua shua your face while putting your creams and serums on also helps reduce puffiness.

Love Corsx! If you love Korean skin care try Dr Jart! I remember watching somewhere that north Korean women will smuggle and risk their lives to just use Dr Jart from South Korea. Their masks are a magical elixir.

I don’t know if the bumbs are a super concern for you (didn’t even know you had till you pointed it out) but I’ve read of mites and things can cause that. Zinc is supposed to help get rid of them.

Love you 🦇

I use that same aha/bha exfoliant. I call it the blood of my enemies. I use alot of skin products, and putting them on is kinda a meditation for me. On the times where I can't be bothered, I use sunblock and that's it.

My holy grail is pond's dry skin cream, I've been using it for several years now. My other holy grail is only using water to cleanse my face (unless I'm wearing makeup, then I need to cleanse that off with very gentle and moisturizing products only). I also exfoliate 1-2x a week, avoid the sun at all costs, and take vitamins.

I just turned 30, and the past 6 months I've really been taking skincare seriously! I haven't missed a single morning or night. Been loving Vichy's Mineral 89 100 hr cream, as well as Cosrx's sunscreens. Been trying a bunch of Korean products, but none so far are holy grail (maybe except Cosrx ultra light sunscreen, but will be trying others) 😛 I have my first retinoid product on the way, Beauty of Joseon's eye cream 🙏🏼

I've been watching you for over 7 years and I always thought you were early thirties at most. You look great!
