10-STEP KOREAN SKIN CARE REVIEW | Inspired by Soko Glam

The 10-step is real and such a fun routine. Let me help break it down to tackle all these steps. Skip to 1:15 for the start of the steps!

ALL PRODUCTS AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS LISTED BELOW. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION BECAUSE IT'S PROBABLY BEEN ANSWERED.

➜ Do I do all these steps every day?
At least once a day, mainly when I take the day off, I do 7 steps - I skip exfoliate, mask, and SPF (sometimes I will take the 10th step and put on a sleeping mask though) The mask and exfoliate I like to do at the same time so I get all the benefits of the mask.

➜ What's your skin type?
Combination, but has gotten more dry as I've gotten older. I like to stay as hydrated as a cucumber. This can be used for every skin type, just get the right products for your skin as you normally would.

➜ Do I use this morning and night?
I use this morning and night - I tweak it a little depending on my mood. Most of the time I skip the double cleanse as I don't feel my skin needs that after a night's rest.

➜ Do I rinse off the mask? And is it every day?
It depends on the mask and its instructions. Sometimes I will do two masks a week or alternate between types of mask: one that soaks into the skin vs one that pulls impurities. Sometimes I do two masks back to back depending on what my skin needs and how the masks performs (ex: clay mask then a hydrating mask). Also, this is something I do maybe once a week!

➜ How can I adjust this to my budget?
Yes, it's a lot of product, but a lot of it you already have in your medicine cabinet I bet! Toner can be used with something you find at Rite-Aid like witch hazel, coconut oil to take off your makeup, or making your own face scrub to exfoliate. Get creative!

➜ Is this time-consuming?
For me, it takes me 10 mins max. A lot of these steps we're already doing... taking off our makeup, etc. The few extra minutes invested into taking better care of your skin (properly taking off ALL traces of makeup and dirt by double cleansing, hydrating and protecting your skin, giving your face all the proper boosters) is less time you have to spend doing makeup and covering up.

Some of these are one of the best products I've tried and I was so pleased putting this list together to see that they're cheaper than I thought. I was introduced to all of these along with the book.

Also - another video out tomorrow. American, Western, European, not sure how to sound PC about it.

The more (expensive) products I put on my face, the worse my skin is. It's such a shame because I love skincare, but my skin just likes warm water

hey just stumbled on your video while checking my recommendations but just wanted to say that you need to emulsify the oil cleanser before you wash it off... i.e after you done rubbing it you wet your hands with some water and rub again till the oil turns white... that's actually the oil plus the makeup being removed after that you wash your face ^^

the difference between the chemical and physical exfoliator is that the physical one is the one with the small beads or by using an apparatus like the clarasonic while the chemical one is more of a peeling gel type that you rub into your skin and it sorts of peel it ^^

as for the masks... the gel type ones are becoming more popular because they're usually have more products and stick to your face better than the cotton ones... also the most expensive one in the korean shops is usually like 6 or 7 dollars but usually they sell between 2-3 dollars each.

also for the sleeping mask... you can use it everyday after applying the moisturizer if you want but other than that yeah... this is you standard Korean skin care routine and you need at least 3 months to get into it and becomes a routine ^^

sorry if i talked too much and please forgive me if i bothered you ^^

My skin loves Korean products and "yells" at me when I try to use Neutrogena or something -.- It's high maintenance but worth it 😉

I switched to a Korean/Japanese skin care routine because although it's a bit long, it cleared by acne. If you can't get your hands on Korean or Japanese products, you can substitute with Western products. It's all about knowing your skin type and getting products for it. it's such a nice way of pampering yourself. I love it.

I just started my Korean skin care routine for the past two days & my face feels so amazing. Wish I would've started sooner. Products are kind of expensive but I'm sure the outcome will be worth it.

I have been doing the 10 step skin care routine for a month - it is amazing! My skin has improved so much, I use Korean based products for the night and then a mix for the day. I have to use LESS and LESS makeup because my skin is looking so good!

As a korean girl addicted to makeup, I am glad you are using Korean skin care products! I didnt know NEOGEN was a korean brand because I have never seen it nor none of my friends or even k-beauty youtubers talk about this brand. But I heard that son&park's toner, the banila co's cleasing sherbet, and missha's eye cream are great and I definitely want to try them. The only thing I have ever used in your video is Missha's essense (dupe for SK-II essense) and this is my holy grail skin care product. It soothes and moisturizes your skin. I have used it for one year and I've emptied about 4 or 5 bottles. But I feel that if you keep using it, your skin kinda get used to it so it gets a little difficult for you to notice the effect of the product over time. But all in all it's definitely worth trying.

So glad you've been uploading more frequently! I've been having Rachel withdrawals since vlogmas. Last week I bought the RMS living luminizer and I love it, thanks for the recommendation!

I've been doing this for 6 months now and my skin has never been better! I also love that the Korean products are much less expensive than most in North America. The 10 steps go by so quickly you won't even notice. I also added the needle rolller and my skin has a whole new texture, it's great.

Mine was just half of your 10-step routine which are cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser and sunscreen. I only do the exfoliating and mask twice a week. Your skin is so clean and flawless!
