Oh wow...I remember seeing these engines. I used to get Steve Morris confused with Nelson's packaging early on, but lord knows Steve's built an online presence these days so as to jar peoples memory with more then a logo / trademark lol.

He does beautiful work and honestly if your not making your own stuff you cant build something comparable for much less. But we also need to be realistic here and understand where engine tech os today because its very different than just 10yrs ago. Today 9khp from 4l has been done a few times and those motors ran for over a season in one case the other was torn down for a check after every run both were in good shape. Doing 1000hp from a liter isnt that impressive of a feat today. Now with a warranty is a different matter. 1700hp even from 5.9l is pretty damn impressive being idiot proof as it can 😅. Honestly id love to see some oem teaming up with them and giving us a cheap light simple sport car that takes boost well and is tuned friendly but handles amazing. A turbo i5 frs would be the bees knees if you could get another 200lbs out of it. I say that as my own frs has been volvo swapped and i was easily able to get 150lbs out in the process.
