So glad you are back, here is my top 13 of entries from Iceland 🇮🇸 in Eurovision (2010-2022):
13: 2015: this song is very cheesy and cringe. Okay vocally and empty staging. 3/10.
12: 2022: the language is magical and the vocals are so amazing and harmonious. It is just a little bit monotonous instrumentally. The lyrics are great though. 6.5/10.
11: 2010: this song is catchy and fun. But the staging is a bit empty. Her vocals were great though. 7/10.
10: 2011: such a great vibe and the lyrics have such a sad backstory. 7.5/10.
9: 2017: love the songs vibe and the vocals are good but the staging could have been less empty. 7/10
8: 2018: copy comments from 2017 but his vocals have a more impressive range and the vocals are better. Also really underrated by fans. 7.5/10.
7: 2012: the staging and harmonies are amazing. It has a really dark and mysterious vibe that I love. 8/10.
6: 2013: this song is so chilling and amazing. It could easily be used in any intimate scene in a movie or a nature documentary. 8.5/10.
5: 2014: this song is a banger. Love its lyrics and their message and the band are so charming and quirky. 9/10.
4: 2021: a big grower. A charming performance and the song is amazing. 9/10.
3: 2016: such a chilling and amazing song. Robbery of the year in 2016 defo. 9.5/10.
2: 2019: this song just hits different. 9.5/10.
1: 2020: this song is iconic. Although it is not my winner of 2020 it is firmly in my top 5 and I would have been incredibly happy if it won. Everything is perfect about it, especially the performance. 10/10.
Overall I really like Iceland 🇮🇸 in Eurovision. They often send good entries and I love how they are so genuinely themselves in any way. Their language is also beautiful, it is like a prophecy come to live that is so beautiful and poetic.
