moving to Dublin in a couple of months alone. This surely calmed my nerves! Not all heroes wear capes 👍

I already know that I've lived alone. Most of my life in a crowd at ri'm right here in the USA and I'm looking to move... Not for connection sake with other people necessarily, but just for a change of pace This country US dying in. It's moral backband it drains my soul.

i have lived in a different country from my family for 8 yrs now.
Let me tell you this, everytime you go back to your home country, it never gets easier when going back abroad.
I have recently just came back from my home country and coming back never gets easier even though i have plenty of people abroad as well. Something about not having your family with you is really hard and i dont believe it will ever get much easier.

I moved to Beijing and got a new friend after 1 week. Then I got new new friends, joined a hobby group and began hanging with them.

If you feel alone, join a hobby group or a sport that you are interested in. I don't care where in the world you are, if you have moved abroad or not. It is my best advice. Social interaction is something we all need, even if some of us need it less than others.

I am planning to move abroad next year for my master's degree and today i had one of the worst panic attacks i could ever imagine. It was so bad that i wanted to permanently withdraw the idea of moving to a different country and finding something to do here, in India.. my home. But i could not shake myself off from the feeling of the life i will experience once i go away. That part of me will always stay unexplored, a few hours later I'm still feeling the shivers, it may be the worst decision i ever make but i want to take that risk. I don't know why but i want to. It's going to be so hard, i will feel numb, i will not be able to breathe but eventually things will get better. I don't plan to never come back, but i want to leave first and then think about coming back. I cannot think about the future without making decisions about my present. This video really helped me, even for that teeny tiny bit, it did. Thank you. I wish you good luck.

If i already feel lonely at 19 years old in the same exact spot i grew up in i think it’s best for me to just stay

I didn't have many friends growing up. I moved to a different state where I didn't know anyone. I met people taking the bus to work. I was fine being alone. I could call my family, relatives and friends. I could go drive around and look at anything I wanted to.

I had degus and chinchillas. RIP.

I mean, i'm alone in my own country where I was born so I don't think it would be a problem for me

Another truth people rarely talk about is you can't go back... "home" will never feel quite right once you leave. And that's totally okay if you're prepared for it, but often seems to come as a surprise.

this is exactly why I want to move to another country.

Does solitude itself make you want more out of life?

This sucks. I want freedom but I can’t do anything by myself.
