I’ve met a few famous people but yelling at sturgill over the black fence behind the stage that I wanted a guitar pic and him coming over and scaling the fence to give me two pics and fist bump pretty much tops it all 💪🏻

I work in physician’s office as a healthcare administrator. My staff goes nuts when I play this. Don’t like it? Get the hell out of my office. Love it!! Brilliant composition. My 14 year old son is begging me to take him to a concert. Maybe this will be his year!

As an Appalachian, yes apple at cha, my grandpa used to tell stories like this. Through song. I feel like I’m home with him through this album. Does something to me. Thank you Mr. Simpson.

Sturgill thank you brother for saving country music, I believe when George Jones said in one of his songs, " whose gonna fill there shoes " he didn't know Sturgill was on his way to fill those shoes, I wish God had given me a gift of singing and picking like you

I believe the best way this album can be described is as an Appalachian Bluegrass Opera, and it is amazing.

As a 30 year old man, I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit by the end of "Played Out" I was crying... and by the end of "Sam" I was holding my hound and bawling.
Maybe I missed the point... But my take away from this entire album was, No living thing on this earth will love or care about you more than your dog does.
I know we all have our own "Sam" and whether they've already passed or not, please be sure to let them know right now just how much you love them too.

Well I wasn't planning on crying today, but the end of Played Out & Sam just hit me like a ton of emotional bricks.
