Blade Wolf realized that he's always going to take orders in some compacity, but now he decides who he takes orders from, and what those orders are. That is why he is his own master now, and to that extent he's more human than many of the soldiers and that we've had to cut down throughout the game, despite just being an android with a highly advanced AI.
