So Sam's theme is pretty boss. It seriously needed to go on longer for my taste.As far as editing the bass was the signal to me at least. I had to just work from there getting it to line up perfectly. For those who were wondering Sam is not related to Vamp in anyway. Strangely enough while designing him he just turned out to look similar. Enjoy!

This is more then just an amazing song. It serves as crucial characterisation of Sam's character.

Throughout the game Sam presents himself as a cheeky and laid-back antagonist.
Lyrics of this song conveys what actually is happening in his head.
That he is on verge of losing sanity and already lost his sense of self by being basically forced to commit villainy. His cheeky persona is just a coping mechanisms.
Obviously, he cannot afford to convey this directly with words, that deep inside he is battling even greater demons most of us cannot even imagine, because that would be out of character for him honestly, nobody would teke him seriously.

That's where lyrics come in.
During first encounter this song is purely instrumental, during final encounter we get the full scope.

This is the reason why he was willing to relinquish his sword to Raiden should he defeat him.
A final attempt at redemption.
