The pens that the ink disappears I'd the same as the "eraseable" pens like at Walmart. The ink vanishes with heat and the silicone erasers on the other pens create friction which makes the heat to turn the ink invisible but if you put it on the freezer for about 30 min. To an hour, the ink will reappear
