What happens to Campbell after Corvo brands him - Dishonored

The heretic's brand is a punishment only applicable to members of the Abbey, including the High Overseer himself. The sentence is only given to someone who has committed a great wrong in failing to abide by the Seven Strictures of the Abbey of the Everyman. It is a minor criminal offense to offer aid, shelter, or solace to anyone who bears the brand.

Campbell is made an outlaw after Corvo brands him. He catches the plague and spends his last days locked in the flooded districts abandoned refinery.

This fate for Campbell is made canon in Dishonored 2.
An Overseer mentions Campbell's fate to civilians at the Canal Plaza in the Campo Seta Dockyards.

I like that in Dishonored the "merciful" options always seem to end up being a fate worse than death

I was shocked when I choked that weeper cuz he looked familiar then I brought him outside and realized it was him

It's nuts that the brand uses chemicals rather than heat.

Always thought it was a cool little thing that didn't need to be added, yet it's addition just makes the world seem badass

"SPANKED THE HIGH OVERSEER IN HIS OWN HOUSE"
This is why you are our favorite Inventor/vendor

This is much worse than simply killing him. On the other hand, he dug his own grave. It's also odd that the Overseers, knowing about Campbell's violations of the Seven Strictures, did not banish him long before Corvo even got out of jail.

I really enjoy that the non lethal eliminations in dishonored aren't the stereotypical "ohh i forgive you I'll spare you and hope you won't cross me again rainbows sunshine etc" options.

nah these are the kind of fates that make death seem more merciful. feels more like "you wronged me and took my everything, now it's your turn."
Jindosh's is my favorite one with Campbell's being a close second.
Very nice video lol

Remember, the non lethal approach is less about mercy and more about trying to keep the chaos of the masses down.

Killing lots of people means more bodies for rats to eat and more paranoid guards taking their fear and anger out on civilians.

This is why the dishonored games are so good and are awesome to play through multiple times. Attention to detail matters, world-building at its finest

This is really well done how you include clips from both games explaining the lore.

Treating tyrants with their own medicine is most merciful thing we can do for them.

If you do not save Corvo while playing as Emily at the end of Dishonored 2, then the curses of Campbell in that letter have worked

I've got a theory that they'd brake the rules for him if he was a stand up overseer who no one could say they marked and who's rival didn't have the book of blackmail. Basically I think everyone wanted to take him down for awhile so when he was in the crap he got dog piled.

I like how nonlethal options in Dishonored games aren't always the best. In Dishonored 2, if you take a nonlethal route in the Dust District, no matter who you side with, Serkonos will have a hard time. Either the people live under strict laws and fear the Abbey or are terrorized by Paolo's gang and must pay hefty protection money.

Damn, there's something about this style of editing that's truly unique on the youtube platform. With all the poppy subtitles or added music or really any trendy style of editing, this feels... Oddly clean in a sort of way. Loved your presentation of this mate.

As for campbell, L bozo

Campbell, among others, took everything from Corvo. So Corvo took everything from him in return.

Remember kids, this is the "good" and "merciful" outcome

Love how you show how people react and the twisted ripples of the procedure

Then the ending is just *"You Spanked the Overseer in his Own House"*

I do find it legitimately hilarious that his curse seems to be affecting himself instead of corvo, like it rebounded or something

This video is surprisingly well edited. Felt like I was watching a short movie with the way the dialogue was orchestrated.

You could have easily just shown it and been done but using the dialogue hits so hard that I'm interested in every word. And i knew where he ends up but listening to the dialogue editted together is a unique video.
