Much better & more honest than hiding behind a billboard.

Only targetting private cars not lorries, buses n vans driven by FW. If u hv notice Cars n Lorries r driving at same speed. That itself means lorries r already speeding !!! Discrimination? Useless TP.

These kind of Surveillance Cameras if installed in India the politicians in India won't get a chance to fulfill their pockets rather than investing it for Public betterment and facilities

Too many times, cars are left idling after the only 2 pedestrians have crossed.

And actually, the traffic light outside Canberra mrt is pretty good. Turns green as soon as it senses car is waiting, and no cars coming perpendicular..

Wish I could work at LTA road management haha...

Honestly, its safer for expressway to have higher speed limits. Now limits are at a slow 80/90kph, lanes 1 and 2 are practically driving at the same speed. Across long distances, it makes the driver at lane 1 sleepy due to the impression that nothing is moving. Whereas higher speed limits encourage those who want to drive slower to take the outer lanes, and hence everyone becomes more alert on the road due to the psychological effect of noticing speed differences.
Additionally, we might possibly have the added benefit of what was taught in driving school, only use lane 1 for overtaking, not lane hogging.

Even the 'dangerous' speedsters are also driving for their safety.

Traffic management is about psychology, not plain policing. Policing adds additional manpower and infra costs to taxpayers... If you're gonna enforce every aspect, might as well change the whole system to self-driving cars and it will all be law by law.
