a lot of people are like ‘this makes it look like Tori actually does something’ but this ending is probably to give more of an insight into how she sees things. She knows she isn’t a strong duellist and that she can’t do much to help and all she wants is to b there for her friends. She wants to help but there’s not much she can do and it hurts. Tori isn’t my favourite character but she isn’t bad either, it’s nice to get more of an insight into her character

2011, when the Nintendo 3DS came out and smartphones and mobile internet started to become really popular and better as internet-devices. Zexal was a part of the beginning of that new era.

Best ending of Zexal IMO. The emotion, animation, foreshadowing, lyrics, voice: all beautiful. I do we could've had more episodes committed to the relationship between Yuma and Tori/Kotori. I mean, we had episodes centred on Yuma's parents, how he met Bronk/Tetsu and all that but none on Tori. This is something that should've been established early in S1. How did Yuma and Tori meet? How long? What did she see in Yuma that made him likeable to her? Did Yuma do something so kind and passionate for Tori, that see became his first true friend and vise-versa to her. These are very important questions that the audience should know of when you write characters. I'm not hating this by any means but just saying I wish we could've gone more depth into their friendship and later potential romance.
I've actually thought of an idea that in a Zexal movie for a potential YGO cinematic universe that the story would continue where the series left off: fighting the new crisis in Astral World. And in that movie (2 hours 15 minutes maybe), we have scenes committed to Yuma and Tori's new found relationship after she confessed her feelings in the final episode. This where we get flashbacks to their childhood together and then discuss their future after this is over. By the end of the movie, Chaos (the antagonist), retreats to spread his evil and corruption throughout the universe. Our heroes split into different fractions and travel through different points in time and dimensions thus setting up sequels and spinoffs. Before Yuma leaves, he and Tori have a tearful goodbye and she promises to become stronger to join Yuma in the fight to come as a duellist and more. Yuma promises to have their first real date once he returns. As he turns, She grabs Yuma's shoulder and kisses him. Yuma's shocked at first but starts kissing back. Their eyes close and hug in a loving embrace for about 30 seconds. Yuma, Astral, Kite, Shark, Rio, the Arclight brothers and Barian Emperors proceed with their Journey to stop Chaos and any other foes they face. They'll need new ally's too (protagonists from the others shows).
Something along those lines. What do you think? Any other ideas?

Zexal was a masterpiece.. In my opinion Zexal is far better than arc-v. It was the most dramatic anime I've ever seen. Sad for those who dropped it.

I regret skipping the endings of ZeXal. I was never a fan of anime endings, but the ZeXal endings have a lot of effort put into them, and Challenge the Game has very emotional scenes that fit with the episodes.
