How do people hate zexal? Honestly my favorite of the yugioh series, great story of Yuma and the barian arcs, and had some of the best opening and endings

my favorite ending in yugioh ever tbh. i had such a fun time with zexal, and felt a lot of emotions once i got to where this ending started. rip those we lost in the zexal, and i really hope this show gets more love

I love all yugioh series, but Yuma is best example of "main character growth ", all the protagonists started their series being badass, Yuma had to learn from zero, and until now he is the character with the biggest atk points reached in all series . He's not a character who always wins and that's is GOOD, because he really learned something during his trip

Zexal is not only a great yugioh anime, it's also a very good anime in general. I really liked the theme of bonds vs destiny, which was set up it the first part and then completed in Zexal II with Yuma and Astral vs the Barian emperors. Shark in particular since he's also the first duelist Yuma goes against in the very first episode. This ED is the peak of everything that happened in this series

You know what's the scariest thing about all of the yugioh show? They all don't use card sleeves.

ZEXAL is by far my super favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! series and card generation. I totally love the characters, the friends, the atmosphere, the XYZs, the strategies, the cards, the plot, literally everything. I lovely keep the nicest memories of the good times watching ZEXAL. It has slowly become part of me.

I like how in Zexal almost none of the characters were wasted. I mean, in this ending we see super minor characters like Hayami Shuta and the Kunitachi brothers, and they only appeared for like 1-2 episodes.

Ya know? looking back...the only thing i wished they did back during their final duel is actually do what this ending did and SHOW EVERYONE watching the duel, would have made it that more epic and heartwarming seeing how far the boy has come :)


UPDATE lol nevermind thx to the good eyes of rob19ny , he told me that Tobio and Umimi's baby appears in this ending! meaning that this grand duel is probably in the future after the last episode! Good stuff!

I like how they changed this ED's visuals every time a major character would die, first with arclight brothers then with Girag, Alito, Merag and Durbe, then with Kaito, then with Vector and Mizael then finally with Shark/Nash

Every once in a while I come back to this playlist with all the openings and endings and just rewatch all of them.
Watching Zexal as it aired was such a formative experience, it was the first anime I've watched (excluding the ones from my childhood) and I remember having a fantastic time in the fandom, as well as making friends I still talk to to this day! Back then everyone hated it, people used to say it was the worst Yugioh series, that Yuma sucked, etc lol. I'm glad to see popular opinion has turned around! Zexal is such a special anime with great themes and a very good story, and I have so many great memories from it ;;

Yuma is still not my favorite, but he is special in his own right and I acknowledge him as a well written character and the ost is pretty good.
