I run the VRide 32. Though most of my lawns are flat, the only drawback is the narrow tires, but you learn how to be efficient without damaging the lawn, even in wet conditions. After rains or heavy dew, there is no comparison. After running through 20 plus lawns a day, I'm glad I bought the SCAG. It just feels like a different class of machine.

This review was not fair and not correct. The Toro was a bigger size deck then Scag 32. Both company offer a 36 deck and the scag offers a bigger tire on their 36 Vride. You mention the wrong type of deck on the Scag. You did not even come close to taking about the Mechanical side of both units. You did not talk about the engines nor the other main part of both mowers. Do not get me wrong the Toro is a good product but this review was not so good!

I'm just a homeowner with 3 yards to cut and I completely agree with your complaint on the tire width. The 36" V-Ride 2 may be a better comparison to that Toro as it comes with 8" wide tires. BUT it's still too heavy at 800+ pounds not including my weight for them, at least on our soil. I swapped the stock wheels and tires out for some 10" wide tires and am much happier with it. Downside is the tires stick out past the deck a little bit on each side but I can deal with that instead of rutting up my yard. Still have to be mindful of the conditions if it's any kind of wet though. Good review!

i dont know if its the same up north but if you are doing residential you will not fit in the back of 40 percent of the gates with anything over a 36, with a 36 you will fit in about 97 percent, 32 about 99.9 percent

I run a SCAG 36" and and love it . It has the same tires that Toro has. I think you are comparing two different animals there. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Toro but you can't compare it to a 32" machine. It's like comparing a mini bike to to full fledge motorcycle. . Any way that said, you bought a good machine. Did it cure your gate problem ? I have gates my 36 just barely goes through . Congrats on your new equipment .

why are you comparing a 32 to a 40 why not the 36 to a 40?

Good review. I bought a grandstand yesterday. Kind of weird to operate after using nothing but walkers the last 5 years. It’s built solid tho and The cut is excellent. Thanks again.

I've had both. Your observations are correct. Was the walker 42" deck too wide?

Velocity deck starts on 48"+. That's the advantage.

You are comparing a 40” mower to a 32”? You have lost your damn mind. The scag vride crushes a toro in every possible way. Maybe you should have at least compared the 36” scag instead of a 32”. The Scag is much more comfortable as well. I have a 61” vride 2 with 37hp Kawasaki engine and it is absolutely the most amazing lawn care machine I have ever been on in 15 years of business, running every machine possible. It’s so comfortable and I don’t feel like I’ve been beat to death at the end of the day. It also stripes better than any mower on the market, I can go on and on as to why the vride is the best mower in the world, nothing comes close.

Grandstand was my choice as well. In the past I needed to switch between my wide-area mower and riding mover to handle my own lawn. I really love being able to have one tool that can do both. I'm not a professional, but I got a 40" Toro Grandstand because it justified itself by replacing 2-3 mowers. Maintaining a large lawn is real easy now ;)

Funny your video comes up in my feed now lol, I just took delivery of a 48" Grandstand last week! They're awesome machines hey. Found yourself a new sub from Australia ;D

Thanks for the video I totally agree with all your comments what size deck do you think I should get The 40 the 48 or the 52 I’m just thinking this is easier to teach new operators then having him hop on a walker diesel 48 inch deck and crash into everything with the backend, what should I do for a shoot blocker so the grass don’t go flying everywhere Around mulch beds cars etc.
