I did this exact setup with the products linked in the description. With the 1/2 gph drippers, my 5 gal lasts 3 days.

Sometimes they get plugged, in 1 month I have replaced the original dripper on each bucket.

On the lid, I cut a hole then used the silicone to glue down a piece of window screen. This keeps mosquitos out and I can refill thru the screen.

This is fantastic Noah. I live in the Arizona desert I wonder if I should have 2 buckets or some other situation as my soil is powder dry clay. Thanks so much for this!

I have been looking for a video like this set up for a long time I’m planning on doing my entire garden with recycled water from my ducks pools I just need to figure out the filtering to get some of the dirt out prior so it doesn’t get stuck in the tubing

How does this set up last 5 days if the emitter is 1/2 gph using a 5 gallon of water? 5 gal divided by 1/2 gal is 10hrs. Not 5 days. Pls advise.

Exactly what I need as well. Simple but works!

could you have a long 1/4 inch tube, and poke tiny holes thorughout so that it waters in more places than just one spot? Maybe wrap the tubing around the tree and have 4 or 5 holes

Wondering if 2 0.5 gph droppers would slow the drip down even more?

Noah! Thanks for your post! Perfectly said! Have you attempted this using a larger barrel? Say a 30 gallon?

I tried this with everything used and the dripper is a steady flow.. 😢

Does algae ever form inside the bucket and eventually clog the dripper?

I think the only problem here is that the dripper is placed at the bucket side versus at the end of the line, which means that insects and other things can crawl into the tube and clog it.

If its 1/2 GPH, assuming GPH is (gallon per hour) how did it last for 5 days?
