When you have a seizure you come out of it confused and don't remember what you were just doing.
Immagine just coming to consciousness and you're falling from the sky.

Lord have mercy that made my heart stop. That instructor is a hero with nerves of steel. He didn't hesitate for a second. Bravo sir bravo

I have epilepsy with grand-mal seizures. Stress can induce a seizure. Skydiving wouldn't be a good choice if you have epilepsy.
Im glad hes ok.

I held my breathe the entire fall. This could have turned out so tragic.

As a mother of a 21 year old this brought me to tears, praise God for that instructor, no matter how old my kids get they will always be my babies and I couldn’t even imagine.

Could you imagine waking up from a seizure falling?! Thank goodness for that instructor!

Are people being dense on purpose or watching the video without audio? He was MEDICALLY CLEARED to dive and hadn't had a seizure in FOUR YEARS. In addition it wasn't the first time that he had ever skydived, meaning he's done it without seizures before it was statistically safe for him to skydive based on his own experience.
He'll probably reconsider some things now that this has happened, but it's no fault of his own that he wound up in this situation. If he had succeeded here and was able to skydive enjoyably for decades, year 30 could have been the year where it happened and he'd have been none the wiser.

If he's had seizures before, I genuinely don't understand why he'd consider skydiving without going tandem. Some risks are just not worth tempting.

Great outcome ‘ but can you imagine if the instructor was never able to reach him.... could’ve ended horrible. What a great man ! That’s something many people don’t got.
