But on a serious note, I can't admire you enough for all the work you're doing and I hope we get to see more of these in the future. That and as easy as the fight was, man did it get tragic.

I was pretty numb by this point after killing sword master. At that point I knew I would kill anyone to escape, and _I couldn't feel for her._ Because it was such an obvious, and horrible, final stage... machinated, to abuse any semblance of my empathy. That the gesture, the fact she was so young, didn't make me feel for her. It made me even angrier. It made me angry that they would use her against me. That their world was so valuable, they would weaponize her soul.

Once I realized she was just a tool, she stopped having the same meaning. To feel for her then, would be granting them the satisfaction of knowing they had the right to the Beat of her soul. Instead, respecting her instead as a warrior, much like I did many of the others. By not looking upon her as a victim, but one who truly was willing to die for her beliefs. I avoided the abusive role assigned to her youth and naivete; to speak to whatever humanity I had managed to take into me.

It was too late for that - - I had already heard The Voice. I had heard them all. I felt his anger. The truth in him. Why should their world be more important than his? I rose above, to the stars, to bring it all crumbling down. One last time.

When I played, I played for a goal..not the emotional things or the story completely, but to achieve my purpose. And yet I didn't understand. What is this? She is supposed to stop me for good and yet..? She can barely stand?

Not the strongest fighter by any means. Stopping the Rider was a long shot, but she was the last resort. If the Rider managed to make it to her, killing every other Jailer on the way, then her best chance at winning was to fight him with something he was foreign to.
Words.
She was the end.
But the price of freedom is steep, and the Rider was ready to pay that toll. Every Jailer he had killed was leading to this very moment, and he couldn't let it slip him by now. He had to be free, and thus she had failed.
